50% your next date night bill? Of course any of us would love that wouldn’t we! Well then let’s take advantage of the Government’s current ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme and use it as an excuse to take your crush, your loved one or your spouse out on a romantic meal for two. What a lovely surprise date night on a random Monday to Wednesday this August.

@_DateNight_ has cherrypicked the most romantic venues that are on the ‘East Out to Help Out’ scheme for your early weekday date night as per the Top Ten List below:

1.) Bank, Birmingham: Part of a chain of restaurants owned by ‘bar + grill’, this restaurant offers a beautiful setting for a dinner date and has put everything in place as per the gov guidelines for a date that is socially distant to other customers but still cosy for you and your partner. Reservations need to be made in advance and everything has to be ordered remotely on an app. They even offer priority seating to those in NHS and emergency services. For more information head over to their website:

2.) For the next choice there are 79 locations to the array of country pubs that ‘Brunning & Price’ own and manage. Each one is picturesque and many would be suitable as a lunch date or dinner date location as part of a day trip or weekend away with your loved one. As there are so many to choose from all with their beautiful set up and surroundings, you are spoilt for choice. Visit their website for the full listing on:

3.) If you are looking for something a bit more classic and down to earth, you should visit one of the Mitchells & Butlers establishments across the country. They have a vast range of pubs from ‘All Bar One’ to ‘O’neils’.

4.) Next on the list is the “New World Trading Company’. They offer a vast array of boutique style restaurants and beautiful country pubs. Why not check out ‘Beneath’ and it’s bunker style cocktail bar in Bath as part of a day trip or a few days away.

5.) For a different kind of weekend away, I highly recommend visiting Whitstable Bay in Kent. Whilst there be sure to visit one of the many country pubs that are a part of the Shepherd Neame Group. My favourite is the “Duke of Cumberland’ which is also a hotel for a lovely stay over getaway and romantic meal for two all in one venue.

6.) I recommend visiting any of the restaurants in ‘The Ivy Collection’ of establishments. All have the quirky, nature themed decor and great cuisine making for a romantic yet memorable date night together and the whole group is taking part in the scheme so you have an amazing list of establishments to choose from. Here’s a review of the Ivy Blackheath for some beautiful pictures for your reference:

7.) The group ‘Young & Co’s Brewery’ have an amazing list of pubs and restaurants under their belt, in fact maybe even too many to choose from. My favourite of them all is the ‘Crown & Anchor’ in Chichester. Amazing views of the Fishbourne Canal boats, great food and impressive seafood, cosy dining to get up close and personal with your date and a large open terrace for some well needed fresh air.

8.) The Narrowboat in Islington is a gem of a find that’s also on the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme. Great Central London location situated on the Regent’s Canal and great fusion food serving seasonal delicacies and an impressive array of seafood. This is a great quirky, yet romantic date night venue that’s easy to get to and will give you and your date a night to remember. Click on to making a booking.

9.) Issho, Leeds is the next on the list. It’s part of the D&D Restaurant Group and is taking party in the ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme but even if it wasn’t, this is a great date night venue to visit.
